  20. This message is NOT an advert and I'm NOT selling anything. I just want 
  21. to bring a new service to the internet that will help people. It has 
  22. been posted to lots of newsgroups but this is necessary for it to 
  23. work.
  24. This will be a 100% FREE service, no one pays anything!
  25. Thank you to those people who have already showed interest in the idea.
  26. If you disagree with the idea that's fine, but I have had a lot of 
  27. people saying that it is a good idea so please do not respond unless

  31. The IDEA,

  33. I'm collecting the names and e-mail addresses of people who feel they 
  34. have a good knowledge and interest in a particuler subject/interest.
  35. I am going to publish the whole list onto the www, it will be 
  36. called HelpBase.
  37. These people must have a good knowledge of their specialist subject and 
  38. must be willing to take questions from people on their subject area.
  39. The subject can be anything from 'computer programming' to 'Tia-chi'!
  40. The database will be open to anyone and everyone and each person will be 
  41. entered under their subject area with a e-mail link and a web page link 
  42. if you have one.

  44. The only thing that you will get out of this is satisfaction of knowing 
  45. you have helped people, with out the support the service will not be 
  46. able to run.
  47. If you have a web page I will put a link to it for you, this will 
  48. provide a bit of free advertising for you but you must still be willing 
  49. to help the people that mail you.

  51. If you start getting flooded by e-mails you can mail me and I will take 
  52. you off the database or find more people with your specialist subject to 
  53. take the pressure off.

  69. I fully realise that this is the idea of newsgroups but from past 
  70. experience, you get a lot of people joining in not knowing what they're 
  71. really talking about and lots of people have nothing better to do than 
  72. shout abuse at people.
